The Waiting Man

One day I recieved a call from Tina Bold. She told me that an accordion player needed some help putting a gig together at Casino Morango's -the Key Club. Little did I know that fateful day would have me putting together a set in two weeks to appear with Aaron Seeman... Duckmandu.

I have decided to release these tracks recorded of the sound board that night. I don't know who the sound guy was, put he sure as hell couldn't mic an accordion. There's the feedback of course but I figure we are a lo-fi garage band after all. I always liked it a little rough.

In these recordings is a very young Joey Chrisman, whom Becca and I worked with at the time. He contributed two songs to this set which I still feel are some of his best work and bear mention. Becca had been playing accordion for a short while, which gave me three people to work with including myself. We got to practice about four or five times with a set from scratch. None of us had played together before and it was a wonder of evolution in arrangment.

Music should always be about having fun.
So here it is for free... since we covered three tunes in this set it seems only fair. Hope you enjoy the process as much as we did.

Best to listen to on headphones. That's obviously what the sound guy did it. The transfer works better in the tone.

    Peace
    Iggy

about

Originally recorded in my Redlands flat, this song never fully materialized. I loved the Barrett feeling to the tune and always found myself playing it. Once again, Tom at his finest when it comes to honesty. Tweaked a few lines from the original lyrics, slapped Becca and Joey in around the framework and there you have it.

Once again a beautiful evolution in madness. For me it defines alcohol addiction... but in a fun way to play. Very dark realities but happy chords.

Spent many a year writing and recording with him. Some things in life can not be faked. Definitely a musical soul brother.

You might also not this song was the inspiration for my name when I started doing solo projects.

Every passing hour brings the Solar System forty-three thousand miles closer to Globular Cluster M13 in Hercules — and still there are some misfits who insist that there is no such thing as progress.-Kurt Vonnegut

Best mix performance on a good pair of headphones turned up loud while gazing up at the stars.

The art of life is multi- dimensional. This music is made by me and my friends. Avante!
